Villa Duncklenberg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Villa Duncklenberg (former address Katernberger Straße 220 ) was a villa in Wuppertal - Elberfeld , district of Uellendahl-Katernberg . The villa, built around 1895, was laid down by the owner in 1979 before the Monument Protection Act came into force in March 1980 and there was a legal remedy against the demolition. It was considered an architectural monument and was included in the official list of the state conservator.

The two-storey villa, designed in the classicist style , had seven axes, with a mezzanine floor below the roof . On the front side was a three-axis, weakly indicated central risalit with a flat gable . The small windows on the mezzanine floor were fitted with shutters.

It was designed in 1871 by the architects “Kyllmann & Heyden” ( Walter Kyllmann and Adolf Heyden ).
