The house at Am Kupfergraben 6 is a listed apartment building in the Berlin district of Mitte in the district of the same name .
The merchant Johann Traugott Börner had the four-story building erected in 1832.
Chancellor Angela Merkel and her husband Joachim Sauer live in the house . Ottmar Schreiner lived in the house until his death in early April 2013 . Also located in the house, the office of Lothar de Maiziere .
