history

Oeglitzsch belonged to the Electorate of Saxony or the Kingdom of Saxony until 1815 and was subordinate to the Hochstift-Merseburgischen Amt Lützen , which had been under Electoral Saxon sovereignty since 1561 and belonged to the Secondogenitur - Principality of Saxony-Merseburg between 1656/57 and 1738 .

The village, in which there was a manorial manor, which only had the right to charge interest in the village and exercise patrimonial jurisdiction there, but also had no buildings or land, was parish in Schkortleben. The estate was owned by the von Posern family; von Rockhausen, von Biesenroth, von Dieskau, von der Sahla, von Rex and von Geißmar, von Breitenbauch , Brand von Lindau, von Seydewitz, Hiecke, Weinich and Franz Wilhelm Scharf (from 1817).

Through the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna , Oeglitzsch and the western part of the Lützen district came to the Kingdom of Prussia in 1815 . In 1816 it was assigned to the administrative district of Merseburg in the province of Saxony .

During the first district reform in the GDR, Oeglitzsch was reclassified to the Weißenfels district on July 1, 1950 and combined with the communities of Dehlitz and Lösau to form the community of Dehlitz. During the second district reform in 1952, Dehlitz came to the Weißenfels district in the Halle district , which in 1990 became the Weißenfels district again and was incorporated into the Burgenland district in 2007.

The municipality of Dehlitz was incorporated into the city of Lützen by law on January 1, 2011 .
