It is located south of the historic center of Gernrode, east of the street "Am Osterberg", on the edge of the slope of the Osterberg . The complex is registered as a park in the local register of monuments.
Architecture and history
The park above Gernrode was built in the period 1920/1930. Your system of paths follows the mountainous terrain and is oriented towards the south edge, from which there is a wide view of Gernrode and the north-eastern Harz foreland . A playground has been set up in this area . Groups of trees and shrubs set accents in the landscape. In the western area there is a staircase leading up from the street “Am Osterberg”, via which access to the higher parts of the elongated park is possible. There is a terrace on this west side .
