With Harzvorland different to be resin bordering landscapes called - mostly in very vague use of the term. The following are the natural landscapes that surround the Harz and z. T. Harz foreland in the name, listed clockwise, starting in the north. The numbering is based on the handbook of the natural spatial structure of Germany and is only used for orientation:
