Architecture and history
Originally the property was an important medieval court. It may have served as a knight's seat. Presumably the court also had the right to brew . The building was used as a brewery even more recently .
The southern building is believed to date back to the Middle Ages. It rests on massive walls with buttresses . The upper floor consists of a half- timbered construction that was added in the second half of the 17th century . The threshold is bevelled. The half-timbered figure of the half man can be found in the corner panels as a decorative element . In addition, there are footbands and fillers . The building is covered by a high roof.
Around 1900 a clinker brick building was erected to the north in front of the medieval building.
