Amalie Rudolph

Amalie Rudolph (born March 23, 1876 in Berlin ; date of death unknown ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Live and act

Rudolph attended the Stäckelsche high school for girls in Berlin. Then she was trained as a teacher in a Froebel course . As such, she worked for two years and then became a bank correspondent.

Rudolph became a member of the SPD. She was a housewife in Jena when she was elected to the state parliament of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach on March 9, 1919 . With the establishment of the state of Thuringia on May 1st, 1920, the Free State of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach formally ceased to exist as a sovereign federal state. Rudolph had no mandate in the first Landtag of Thuringia, which was elected on June 20, 1920.

The state parliament of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach had 46 members, besides Rudolph Helene Glaue (DDP) and the later Reichstag member Maria Schott (DNVP) were the only women represented.
