Amana

Amana is a female given name that goes back to Celtic and Arabic roots. In Celtic Amana means " brook ". In the past, many rivers were simply called Amana or Anisa .

In Arabic meansأمانة / Amāna honesty and loyalty. The name was also borrowed from Swahili , where it means trust .

In the Song of Solomon in the Bible , Amana means a mountain. In Islamic cultures the name Amana (performing one's task) is derived from al-mana (the entrusted good). Amn and Aman (security) were created in a similar way .
