The Ambarlı Limanı is the port of Istanbul in the Avcılar district in Turkey . It is the largest port in the country and took first place in 2006 in terms of the tonnage of bulk cargo handled. Around 38 percent of Turkish imports and exports and 63 percent of the Marmara region are handled in the port . He is from the ALTAŞ Ambarlı Liman Tesisleri Tic. A.Ş. which was founded on September 9, 1992.

This seaport supplies Turkey with goods and goods from overseas. He specializes in container handling . The Ambarlı Limanı is in strong competition with the Greek port of Piraeus , as both are developed as universal ports and are not far from each other. The port of Piraeus is the largest port in the region.

Around 9,300 people are employed in seven terminals in the port. In 2007, Ambarlı Limanı had an export volume of 24 billion US dollars . Important products that were produced in Turkey are exported via the port, e.g. B. Raw materials such as vegetables, fruit or tobacco. Furthermore, the port is a central point of contact for the supply of Istanbul and the Marmara region with crude oil.
