Ambros Nesensohn

Ambros Nesensohn (born May 3, 1908 in Schlins ; † June 10, 1982 in Dornbirn ) was an Austrian politician ( VdU / FPÖ ) and chimney sweep. He was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament from 1949 to 1954 and from 1956 to 1959 .

education and profession

Nesensohn attended Schlin's elementary school and then worked in his parents' farm from 1922 to 1924. He then completed an apprenticeship as a chimney sweep with Gebhard Leissing in Bregenz and became a master chimney sweeper and boiler cleaner. He wandered for several years and between 1934 and 1936 worked as a freelance chimney sweeper in Frastanz. From autumn 1936 he worked as a chimney sweeper in Dornbirn.

Politics and functions

As a member of the electoral district of Feldkirch, Nesensohn represented the Association of Independents from October 25, 1949 to October 28, 1954 in the Vorarlberg state parliament and then replaced Josef Gohm as a member of the state parliament on October 25, 1956 . He was a member of the state parliament as a representative of the FPÖ until October 28, 1959. In his first parliamentary term he was a member of the Agricultural Committee and a member of the Social Policy Committee and from 1956 a member of the Finance Committee and a member of the Legal Committee. He was also a substitute member of the Dornbirn city council and a member of the construction, sports and retirement home committee. Within the party, he worked as a member of the state party leadership of the FPÖ Vorarlberg.

Nesensohn was from 1939 to 1968 chairman of the master's examination committee 1 and from 1942 to 1947 second chief master of the chimney sweepers. He was then from 1947 to 1970 guild master of the chimney sweepers. He was also an expert and lay judge at the Feldkirch regional court, from 1950 a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce and from 1955 a member of the supervisory board of Volksbank Dornbirn. He also worked as a member of the chimney sweeper's master craftsman's and journeyman's examination committee, was a member of the committee of the federal chimney sweepers' guild and a member of the board of the Vorarlberg Association of Freedom Economists.

Private

Nesensohn was the son of the farmer Silvester Nesensohn and his wife Maria Nesensohn, née Mähr. He married Anna Gappmeier, who died in 1953 and had a son and two daughters with her. In 1954 he was married to Gerta Danner in his second marriage.
