The Amelangplatte is a small plateau in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . It is located on the Nunatak Gora Sejsmologov northeast of Urfjellgavlen in the Kirwanveggen of Maudheimvidda .

It was discovered and named during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . It is named after Herbert Amelang (* 1907), first officer on the expedition ship Schwabenland .
