The Amer International Group Limited ( Chinese:深圳深圳正(集团)有限公司) is a Chinese industrial conglomerate that operates mainly in the extractive industries and metalworking. The company currently has four domestic offices in Shenzhen (headquarters), Shanghai , Tianjin , Chongqing, and three international headquarters in Singapore , Geneva and Los Angeles . The Amer International Group consists of six main business and investment areas: Healthcare, Energy, Finance, Manufacturing, Resources and Culture.

Fiscal 2017 sales were $ 72.766 billion (USD) and profits were $ 1.545 billion. It was ranked 101st in the world's largest companies by revenue. In 2018, Amer was the second largest private industrial company and the third largest private company in China.

history

The company was founded by Wang Wenyin in Shenzhen in 1995 and was initially a simple cable manufacturer. The name Amer is derived from America . Due to the high demand from the rapidly growing Chinese economy, the company expanded rapidly and soon after entered the raw material trade and mining with a focus on the production of copper . Some subsidiaries are also active in various fields outside of raw material processing. In 2011, in Chizhou , Anhui province , the group inaugurated the Amer Semiconductor Park for the production of microchips . Other branches produce u. a. Smartphones, unmanned aircraft, furniture and marble sculptures.

In 2015 the American mineral development, exploration and mining company General Moly announced a strategic partnership with the Amer International Group. Under the terms of the partnership, Amer acquired $ 40 million worth of shares in Moly and granted a $ 700 million loan to develop mining projects.
