The city of Chizhou ( Chinese  池 州市 , Pinyin Chízhōu Shì ) is a district-free city in the south of the Chinese province of Anhui .

It lies between the Yangtze in the north and the Huang Shan in the south and has a history of almost 1400 years. Chizhou has rich tourist resources such as the "Apricot Blossom Village" (Xinghua Cun) in Guichi District , the Dawang Mountain Caves , the Jiuhua Shan Mountains, the Kuniujiang Wildlife Sanctuary and Lake Shengjin.

Administrative structure

The prefecture-level city of Chizhou consists of a municipality and three counties. These are:

  • Guichi District - 贵池 区Guìchí Qū ;
  • Dongzhi County - 东至 县Dōngzhì Xiàn ;
  • Shitai County - 石台 县Shítái Xiàn ;
  • Qingyang County - 青阳县Qīngyáng Xiàn .
