Amesemi is a Nubian goddess.

Amesemi was portrayed as a woman who, as an iconographic mark, wears double falcons crowned by a sun disk on her head. She is the companion of the lion god Apedemak .

On the side wall of the lion temple in Naqa she is shown together with Isis , Mut , Hathor and Satet . Compared to the goddesses of ancient Egyptian origin, she is shown much more corpulent, which is typical for the representation of women in the kingdom of Meroe .

Steles that have been recently found in temple of Amun at Naqa, they show along with Candace Amanishakheto . The name of this goddess, who had been known from pictures for a long time, was only found by writing on these steles.
