The Bahía Onelli is a bay at Upsala -arm of Lake Argentino in Los Glaciares National Park . In the past the bay was known as Puerto de las Vacas ("Port of the Cattle") because of the cattle that lived there.
The bay is surrounded by primeval rainforest with mosses, lichens and ferns, moss-covered Antarctic beeches , Drimys winteri , Lenga southern beeches , coihues, cypresses and other plant species.
It offers a panoramic view of the confluence of the Onelli, Agassiz, Bolados and Heim glaciers from the shores of the Onelli lagoon . The bay can be reached by boat from El Calafate .
