The large community Amgulang ( Chinese  阿木 古 郎 镇 , Pinyin Āmùgǔláng Zhèn ) was founded in 1957 and is located in the center of the New Left Bargu Banner , which belongs to the administrative area of the city of Hulun Buir in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . It is the main place and administrative seat of the banner.

Amgulang has an area of 495 km² and borders the state of Mongolia in the southwest over a length of 18 km . The large community is divided into five communities (Einwohner) and a gaqaa (嘎查) of the herdsmen. At the end of 2003 there were 13,602 inhabitants (population density 27.48 inh. / Km²). This means that almost a third of the Banner population lives in Amgulang, mainly Mongols and Han Chinese . The economy is dominated by the Mongolian migrant cattle breeding and the associated milk processing.
