Hulun Buir is a prefecture-level city in the People's Republic of China . It emerged from the Hulun Buir Bund (呼伦贝尔 盟) and extends over the extreme northeast of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China.

Hulun Buir has an area of 263,953 square kilometers (greater than UK), according to census (2010) 2549252 population (population density 9.57 inh./km²) and is 49 ° 13 '  N , 119 ° 45'  O . In the actual urban settlement area of ​​Hulun Buir 902,285 people (2010) live.
