Yakeshi ( Chinese 牙克石市 , Pinyin Yákèshí Shì ; Mongolian ᠶᠠᠭᠰᠢ ᠬᠣᠲᠠ Yaɣsi qota ) is an independent city in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region ofthe People's Republic of China . It belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Hulun Buir . Yakeshi has an area of 27,590 km² and has a population of 378,747 (end of 2008). The administrative area of the city extends from west to east across the ridge of the northern Great Hinggan Mountains and consists largely of mountain taiga , the z. T. forestry, z. T. is used for tourism. In addition, Yakeshi is rich in mineral resources, especially coal , iron ore , zinc , copper , fluorite , perlite , limestone , clay and twelve other raw materials that are exploited in numerous mines.

Administrative structure

At the community level, Yakeshi consists of seven street districts , two civic centers and nine large communities . These are:

Xingong Street (新工街道), seat of the city government;

Road quarter Dongxing (东兴街道);

Hongqi Street District (红旗街道);

Jianshe Street District (建设街道);

Nuanquan Street District (暖泉街道);

Shengli Street District (胜利街道);

Yongxing Street District (永兴街道);

Bairin Civic Center (巴林便民服务中心);

Meitian Civic Center (煤田便民服务中心);

Greater municipality of Bogt (博克图镇);

Greater community Chuoyuan (绰源镇);

Großgemeinde Huder (库都尔镇);

Greater Parish Ih Tolhe (伊图里河镇);

Greater community Mianduhe (免渡河镇);

Greater community Tarqi (塔尔气镇);

Tolhe Municipality (图里河镇);

Greater Unir (乌奴尔镇);

Greater community Urqihan (乌尔其汉镇).

There are also three state farms.
