Amphialos (Greek fighter)
Amphialus ( ancient Greek Ἀμφίαλος ) is a person of Greek mythology .
He is only known from Pausanias ' description of the Lesche der Knidier in Delphi , painted by Polygnotos , on which scenes from the largely lost Iliupersis could be seen. Amphialus is shown dismantling a hut, with a boy sitting at his feet. Beside him build Polites , Strophius and Alpheus the tent of Menelaus from. Since Pausanias did not know the names from the Odyssey , he suspected that they were inventions of the painter Polygnotos.
