Amsterdam load

The Amsterdam load was a volume and grain measure and was common in the Netherlands ( Holland in old parlance). The load was often used as a reference measure in Europe and was the new Dutch Mudde.

  • 1 Amsterdam load = 3003.912 liters

  • 1 Amsterdam burden = 27 Mudden = 108 Schepels ( Scheffel ) = 432 Vierdevat = 3456 Koppen
  • 1 Schepel = 1,402.11 Parisian cubic inches = 27.814 liters
