Office Blankenstein (Grafschaft Mark)
The office Blankenstein was an office of the Grafschaft Mark with seat in the freedom Blankenstein . It included the judicial districts of Hattingen and Bruch .
history
The Blankenstein Office was established in the 13th century after the Blankenstein Castle was built in 1226. It existed until the Peace of Tilsit in 1807, when the county of Mark was ceded to the French Empire , and was part of the subsequent reorganization of the new Ruhr department in the canton of Hattingen .
