Office Dippoldiswalde
The office of Dippoldiswalde was a territorial administrative unit of the Electorate of Saxony in the Meißnische Kreis . Until the end of the Saxon constitution of offices in 1856, it was the spatial reference point for the demand for sovereign taxes and compulsory services , for the police , jurisdiction and army successes . The administrative seat was Dippoldiswalde Castle .
history
The area of the Dippoldiswalde office first belonged to the Burgraves of Dohna . The burgraviate went to the margraviate of Meissen in 1401 as part of the Dohna feud . In the following years the official area was expanded through acquisitions. Between 1781 and 1833 the Altenberg office was administratively part of the Dippoldiswalde office, but the main areas of responsibility remained separate. From 1856 the new judicial offices took over the administration and jurisdiction of the former judicial offices, which were split off from the (rents) offices in 1831. In 1868 the Dippoldiswalde office was finally dissolved and the remaining tasks were transferred to other authorities.
