The office had 6500 inhabitants on an area of ​​68 km² in the five communities of Hüsby , Idstedt , Lürschau , Neuberend and Schuby .

In the course of Schleswig-Holstein's administrative structural reform, the municipalities of Idstedt and Neuberend left the Schuby office on January 1, 2007 and merged with the municipalities of the Böklund and Tolk offices to form the Südangeln office . The three municipalities remaining in office formed the office Arensharde on January 1, 2008 with the municipalities of the office Silberstedt .
