Wilhelmsburg Office
The Wilhelmsburg office was a historical administrative area of the Principality of Lüneburg and the Kingdom of Hanover . The higher administrative level was the Landdrostei Lüneburg .

Duke Georg Wilhelm of Braunschweig and Lüneburg acquired the Elbe islands Stillhorn , Rothehaus and Georgswerder from the noble Grote family in 1672 and merged them with the Reiherstieg and the Schluisgrove farm to form the Wilhelmsburg rule, which he gave to his wife Eleonore d'Olbreuse , later Countess of Wilhelmsburg, gave. After Georg Wilhelm's death (1705), an office was formed from the property, which was initially re-established after the French rule and incorporated into the Harburg office in 1859 .
