A bulletin [ ˌbʏlˈtɛ̃ ], French for report , from Latin bulla via old French bullette , is an official announcement.

It can be drawn up by a government on a specific event or an official medical report on a public figure. This is also used as the title of meeting reports or magazines .

Examples

Examples of regular bulletins are the monthly bulletins of the World Health Organization and the weekly bulletins of the Robert Koch Institute and the Federal Office of Public Health .

Some daily newspapers are also called bulletins, as is the official publication of the Swiss Equestrian Federation (SVPS). The English term bulletin board means ' notice board ' and early online platforms before the World Wide Web were called the bulletin board system .

In France there were (or are) official bulletins on the state of health of the president (see also Pompidou's death ).
