Groß Kessel district
The Groß Kessel district was a Prussian district in the Johannisburg district ( Gumbinnen district , from 1905: Allenstein district ) in the province of East Prussia , which was founded on April 8, 1874.
The district with its seat in Groß Kessel originally consisted of eight villages. In the end there were six due to structural changes.

On January 1, 1945, the villages of Babrosten, Groß Kessel, Gutten, Lupken, Ribitten and Wiesenheim formed the district of Groß Kessel.
