The administrative district Karmėlava (lit. Karmėlavos seniūnija ) is an administrative district in the northeast of the Rajongemeinde Kaunas in Lithuania with 6614 inhabitants (as of 2011). The administration is located in the town of Karmėlava . There are 13 villages in the district. The largest village (with 1583 inhabitants) is Ramučiai . The district is divided into 19 sub-districts. 2001 lived 5557 inhabitants. There is the Karmėlava forestry ( Karmėlavos girininkija ).
