The facility has a size of 2.5 hectares and is designed as an English landscape garden with deliberately individually planted trees. It was laid out in 1874 by the manufacturer, farmer and manor owner Wilhelm August Böckelmann , whose villa , built in 1893 , is located in the park.

The park has a source ditch with a pond-like extension that flows into the latch at the Ottersleber pond .

The park, which is surrounded by a natural stone wall, originally also included a vegetable and vegetable garden, a well house and a garden house with a playground.

During the GDR era , the villa was used as a youth hostel . There is currently a youth education center there.
