Former courthouse at Alte Richtstrasse 9

The district court Balve was a district court with seat in Balve , which belonged to the district of the district court Arnsberg . In 1969 a judicial reform led to its dissolution. Since then, the tasks have been performed by the Menden District Court .

From 1819 the Balve judicial office and then the district court were housed in the old town hall on Hauptstrasse. In 1884 they moved into their own building (Hönnetalstrasse 6, under monument protection ), in which there was also a sobering cell. Another previous location can be found at Alte Rechtsstrasse 9, which gave the street its name.
