The list of historical German courts is divided due to their size in parts lists by country and times.

Eastern zone, German Democratic Republic

The local and regional courts in the Soviet occupation zone and the GDR continued to exist until 1952 . See the section "Historical Courts with Local Jurisdiction".

From 1952 there was a three-tier structure into district courts (at the level of the districts ) and district courts (at the level of the districts ). The Supreme Court of the GDR in East Berlin had already been established beforehand.
