Geisenfeld District Court

The Geisenfeld District Court was a court of ordinary jurisdiction that emerged from the Geisenfeld District Court established in 1862 and existed from 1879 to 1973 and is based in Geisenfeld in Upper Bavaria .

As a result of the separation of judiciary and administration in the right bank of the Rhine region of the Kingdom of Bavaria on July 1, 1862, the Geisenfeld Regional Court was established, its district

was formed. The next higher instance was the Freising District Court .

With the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the previous Bavarian courts were repealed. The higher regional courts took the place of the appellate courts, the regional courts took the place of the district courts and the local courts took the place of the city courts, the regional courts as well as the city and regional courts. The Geisenfeld District Court emerged from the previous Geisenfeld Regional Court, the judicial district remained unchanged.

This district court was assigned to the district court of Neuburg an der Donau until April 1, 1932 , then to the district court of Munich II .

When the Law on the Organization of Ordinary Courts in the Free State of Bavaria (GerOrgG) came into force on July 1, 1973, the Geisenfeld District Court was repealed and its district, with the exception of the municipality of Gaden bei Pförring assigned to the District Court of Ingolstadt, was assigned to the District Court of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm .

The district court was located in the outbuildings of the Geisenfeld monastery .
