Engelbrechtsmünster
Engelbrechtsmünster is a district of the town of Geisenfeld in Hallertau in Upper Bavaria . The parish village had 376 inhabitants in 2012.
Engelbrechtsmünster is located to the east, about two kilometers from the city center of Geisenfeld .
history
There was a first settlement of Colombian monks around 600. From the year 821 there was a Benedictine monastery. The parish church was built around 1400. In 1875 the pastor of Engelbrechtsmünster, Friedrich von Schreiber, became archbishop of Bamberg.
The incorporation into the city of Geisenfeld took place on April 1, 1971. The district of Kleinmünster belonged to the former municipality of Engelbrechtsmünster.
The town center was redesigned with the new village square, maypole, stream and fairground as part of the village renewal in 2010.
