Obermettenbach is a district of the town of Geisenfeld in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm . The church village is about four kilometers southeast of Geisenfeld and can be reached via State Road 233 .

On July 1, 1971, Obermettenbach was incorporated into the municipality of Geisenfeld as a district of the formerly independent municipality of Untermettenbach .
