Schillwitzhausen is a district of the town of Geisenfeld in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm . The church village is about two and a half kilometers north of Geisenfeld and can be reached via State Road 2232 .
history
The place originally called Hausen in the flood plain of the Ilm came into the possession of the Schilwaz ministerial family in 1150 , who built a moated castle here. After this family died out in 1484, the castle came to Duke Albrecht IV , to whom it was subordinated to the Vohburg Care Court .
On April 1, 1971, Schillwitzhausen was incorporated into the Geisenfeld community as a district of the formerly independent community of Schillwitzried .
