Untermettenbach is a church village in Hallertau and part of the town of Geisenfeld in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm .

Untermettenbach is about five kilometers southeast of the city center of Geisenfeld .

history

Untermettenbach was first mentioned in a document around 1130. It was the manor of the nobles von Mettenbeck.

The incorporation into the city of Geisenfeld took place on July 1, 1971. The district of Obermettenbach and the wasteland of Ziegelstadel belonged to the former municipality of Untermettenbach .

Its church tower collapsed in 1997 during construction and was rebuilt by 2004 and consecrated again in the same year.
