Schillwitzried
Schillwitzried is located in the Hallertau and has been part of the town of Geisenfeld in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm since 1971 .

Schillwitzried is about five kilometers north of the town center of Geisenfeld. Schillwitzried is a rural village with many farms.
history
In the 12th century, the Schillwatzen family received the town of Hausen from the Margrave of Vohburg. A moated castle was built in Hausen, today Schillwitzhausen . The first resident of Schillwitzhausen was Georg Schillwatz. About one kilometer away, the place Riede, today Schillwitzried, was built for the serfs around 1223. The Schillwatzen line ends in 1508.
The incorporation into the city of Geisenfeld took place on April 1, 1971. The districts of Schillwitzhausen, Gießübel and Schafhof belonged to the former community Schillwitzried .
