Gaden near Pförring
Gaden bei Pförring (officially: Gaden b.Pförring ) is a district of the market in Pförring in the Upper Bavarian district of Eichstätt and a district .
location
The village lies in a wide plain of the Danube valley, in the so-called "Neustädter Becken" in a loop of the river Ilm open to the east . After the village, the Ilm flows in a north-easterly direction parallel to the Danube, which runs further north. Gaden is located in the easternmost part of the Eichstätt district. Pförring is opposite on the northern bank of the Danube. Regensburg is about 45 km to the east and Ingolstadt 30 km to the west. Munich is about 90 km south of the town.
The two places Gaden bei Pförring and Giesenau are located in the Gaden bei Pförring district . The neighboring districts are Pförring and Münchsmünster .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1240. The wasteland of Giesenau, which belonged to the municipality, is already listed as "Giezzenowe" in the Monumenta Boica (approx. 1280). Until 1865 the community and place name was Gaden . On July 1, 1972, the municipality of Gaden b.Pförring was incorporated into the Pförring market as part of the municipal reform.
