Ernsgaden is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm .

Ernsgaden is in the Ingolstadt region.
The community has no other community parts. There are the districts of Ernsgaden and Feilenforst.
history
Until the church is planted
Count Ernst von Hohenburg and Murach built a small castle on the site of today's Ernsgaden in 937, which was the nucleus of the place. For a long time, Ernsgaden was shaped by its location on the file forest and its hunting. The place belonged to the Rentamt München and the Landgericht Pfaffenhofen of the Electorate of Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .

Between 1988 and 2018 the community grew from 1163 to 1652 by 489 inhabitants or 42.1%.

Karl Huber (CSU) has been mayor since May 1996. The municipal council consists of the 1st mayor and another twelve members. In the election period from May 1, 2008 to April 30, 2014, six belonged to the CSU. Four seats went to the Free Voters and two seats to the SPD / Independent Voters' list.

According to official statistics, there were 54 employees at the place of work in the manufacturing sector and 19 in the trade and transport sector. In other economic areas, 22 people were employed at the place of work subject to social security contributions. There were a total of 463 employees at the place of residence subject to social security contributions. There were four companies in the manufacturing sector and two in the construction sector. In addition, in 1999 there were ten farms with an agricultural area of 162 ha, of which 138 ha were arable land and 24 ha were permanent green space.
