history

Until the church is planted

Count Ernst von Hohenburg and Murach built a small castle on the site of today's Ernsgaden in 937, which was the nucleus of the place. For a long time, Ernsgaden was shaped by its location on the file forest and its hunting. The place belonged to the Rentamt München and the Landgericht Pfaffenhofen of the Electorate of Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .

Karl Huber (CSU) has been mayor since May 1996. The municipal council consists of the 1st mayor and another twelve members. In the election period from May 1, 2008 to April 30, 2014, six belonged to the CSU. Four seats went to the Free Voters and two seats to the SPD / Independent Voters' list.
