Hettenshausen is a municipality and a village in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and a member of the Ilmmünster administrative community .

history
Until the church is planted
In 798 the place was first mentioned as "Hittinhusir". Hettenshausen was part of the Duchy or Electorate of Bavaria and belonged to the closed Hofmark Ilmmünster since 1315 , the seat of which was the Ilmmünster Abbey . In 1495 the Ilmmünster Collegiate Foundation was transferred to the Liebfrauenstift in Munich . The Hofmark Ilmmünster reached by the property of Our Lady pin and remained so until its repeal in 1803. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria originated with the municipality edict of 1818 the congregation .
Incorporations
On January 1, 1978, the previously independent municipality Entrischenbrunn was incorporated.

Between 1988 and 2018 the community grew from 1,615 to 2,158 inhabitants or by 33.6%.

Municipal council
The local council election on March 15, 2020 resulted in the following composition:
- UWG: 7 seats (47.02%)
- SPD: 3 seats (20.49%)
- BGH: 4 seats (32.48%).
The turnout was 63.52%. Compared to the 2014 election, the UWG lost one seat and the SPD gained one more mandate. While the CSU (four seats) has not started, the group of voters BGH came to the municipal council with four seats.

religion
A baptismal church in honor of John the Baptist in Hettenshausen, where parishioners from Ilmmünster were baptized, is mentioned as early as the 8th century AD . Hettenshausen becomes an independent parish seat in 1315. In 1699, according to an inscription in the choir arch, the church was redesigned.

In Hettenshausen there is a football club called FC Hettenshausen. The association celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2007 and still has numerous newcomers from the area. Every year on August 14th the association organizes its open air party called Power Disco Night.
societies
Through the theater group Hettenshausen e. V. a play is shown annually on the three weekends before Easter. The theater group Hettenshausen is known beyond the local borders.
The local volunteer fire brigade, which has existed since 1890, organizes the May Festival every year in the center of the village and since 2008 on the Saturday before the 1st Advent its fire "brigade" zangenbowle, which can also be set up as a small, one-day Christmas market. The association celebrated its 125th anniversary on July 11th and 12th, 2015.

In 1998, according to official statistics, there were no employees at the place of work in the manufacturing industry and 70 in the trade and transport sector. There were 1,244 at the place of residence. There were two in manufacturing and nine in construction. In addition, in 1999 there were 22 farms with an agricultural area of 858 hectares, of which 839 hectares were arable land and ten hectares were permanent green space.
