Tegernsee District Court
The Tegernsee District Court was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1973 and was based in the city of Tegernsee .
On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court in Tegernsee was established, the district of which is from the district of the Tegernsee district court , which has been repealed, with the communities of Dürnbach , Kreuth , Ostin (later Gmund am Tegernsee), Rottach (-Egern) , Tegernsee, Waakirchen and Wiessee was formed. The superordinate instances were the Regional Court Munich II and the Higher Regional Court Munich .
After the war-related downgrading of the Tegernsee District Court to a branch of the Miesbach District Court and the confirmation of this measure in 1956 and 1959, this branch court was repealed on July 1, 1973.
The court was located at Hauptstrasse 2 in a three- story neo - classical hipped roof building with a gabled central risalit and arched windows , which was built from 1834 to 1837 according to plans by Joseph Daniel Ohlmüller and expanded to include the second floor in 1901. The building, which was used as a regional court until 1879 and as the city's health resort since the district court was closed, is a listed building.
