The Garmisch-Partenkirchen District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction . It is one of 73 local courts in Bavaria and one of eight local courts in the district of the regional court Munich II . The seat of the district court is at Rathausplatz 11 in the Partenkirchen part of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen municipality .

history

The Garmisch-Partenkirchen district court, with its seat in Garmisch at that time , was created with the Court Constitution Act of 1879 as the Werdenfels district court from the previous Bavarian district court of the older order Werdenfels . It has been called the Garmisch-Partenkirchen District Court since the merger of Garmisch and Partenkirchen in 1935.

Two judges of the district court, Dieter Klarmann and Gernot Körner, came under criticism between 1993 and 2008 as "scandal judges" and "judges merciless" because of strict decisions and controversial methods.
