Since 1978, Westenhausen has been part of the Markt Manching in the northern district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm .

geography

The church village is four kilometers west of the core town of Manching, north of federal highway 16 and south of the Danube .

history

West Hausen is in a foundation document from the year 820 Westinsteri and in 1200 West Husen called (= "in the West live") and originally belonged to the monastery in Engelbrechtsmünster . The Catholic branch church of St. Helena is essentially late Gothic, the nave dates from the middle of the 19th century. The rural community of Westenhausen (in the district office or district of Pfaffenhofen) with Lindach and Rottmannshart, founded in 1818 with the Bavarian municipal edict, was incorporated into the market town of Manching on January 1, 1978 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
