Barthelmarkt 2005

The first written mention of the village of Stimm comes from the year 1086 and can be found in the traditions of the Münchsmünster Monastery , where a Ratolf by "Stinno" is listed. Up until the Upper Bavarian division of 1310 between Dukes Rudolf and Ludwig von Bayern, the village of Stimm belonged to the Vohburg office in the Duchy of Bavaria-Munich . It was only after this separation agreement that a distinction was made between upper and lower voice.

According to legend , the Barthelmarkt , which was first documented in 1354 and named after Saint Bartholomew , the patron saint of the Oberstimmer Church and patron saint of fishermen and shepherds, goes back to the Romans . In 1522 the place came to Reichertshofen after the establishment of the Junge Pfalz . The place burned down completely during the Thirty Years War. In 1742 the main line of the Neuburg Count Palatine died out, the Pfalz-Sulzbach branch of the House of Neuburg succeeded it. In 1777 they were also inherited by the Bavarian Wittelsbachers , making the place back to Bavaria.

The rural community, founded in 1818 with the Bavarian community edict, also belonged to Sun Bridge. The municipality of Oberstimm had had its own coat of arms since 1974 .

On May 1, 1978, the municipality of Oberstimm was incorporated into Manching.
