Niederlauterbach is a district of the Wolnzach market in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm . The parish village is located in the fertile Tertiary hill country of the Hallertau , the largest contiguous hop growing area in the world.
history
Niederlauterbach was closely tied to the fate of the local provost's fate from the first documented mention in 821 until 1811, when the provost administration was dissolved. The Catholic parish church of St. Emmeram is essentially a late Gothic hall church.
In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria, Niederlauterbach became an independent political municipality with the municipal edict of 1818, to which the hamlets Auhöfe, Lehen and Stadelhof also belonged. On July 1, 1971, the Niederlauterbach community was incorporated into the Wolnzach market.
