Larsbach is a district of the Wolnzach market in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm . The church village is located in the fertile Tertiary hill country of the Hallertau , the largest contiguous hop growing area in the world.
history
The Catholic branch church Hl. Kreuz, first mentioned in 1465, is essentially late medieval and was rebuilt in 1736.
Larsbach became an independent political municipality in the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria in 1818, which also included the places Grubwinn, Hirnsberg and Kumpfmühle. On January 1, 1978, the community of Larsbach was incorporated into the Wolnzach market.
