The Greußen District Court (until 1879 Greußen Justice Office ) was a district court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1850 to 1949 and was based in the Thuringian city of Greußen .

history

When the separation of justice and administration was carried out in the Principality of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen on July 1, 1850 (see Courts in the Principality of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen ), Greußen, Bliederstedt , Clingen , Feldengel , Großenehrich , Holzengel , Kirchengel , Niederbösa , Otterstedt , Rohnstedt , Trebra , Wasserthaleben , Wenigenehrich , Westerengel , Westgreußen and Wolferschwenda have a judicial office in Greussen. This was subordinate to the district court of Sondershausen .

With the entry into force of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the judicial office was converted into the Greußen District Court and at the same time subordinated to the Erfurt Regional Court and the Naumburg Higher Regional Court .

After Schwarzburg-Sondershausen had risen in Thuringia in 1920 , there was an exchange of territory with the district court of Ebeleben on October 1, 1923 . While Großen- und Wenigenehrich and Wolferschwenda had to be ceded to that district court district, the town of Niederspier could be expanded.

On September 1, 1949, the Greußen District Court moved to the district of the newly established Mühlhausen District Court . But exactly one month later the Greußen district court was closed and its district assigned to the Sondershausen district court .
