The district court Großrudestedt (until 1879 Justice Office Großrudestedt ) was a court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1850 to 1949 and was based in the Thuringian city of Großrudestedt .

history

As a result of the revolution of 1848, the state structure in the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach was reorganized. In 1850, the offices that were still partly from the Middle Ages were abolished and replaced by district offices, judicial offices and accounting offices, and the last remaining patrimonial courts were also repealed. For the jurisdiction of the abolished office Großrudestedt , the judicial office Großrudestedt was established, whose district accordingly consists of the places Alperstedt , Bachstedt , Dielsdorf , Eckstedt , Großrudestedt, Haßleben , Kleinbrembach , Kleinrudestedt , Kranichborn , Markvippach , Mittelhausen , Nöda , Riethnordachhausen , Schloßsee , Schloßsee , Sprötau , Stotternheim , Thalborn , Vippachedelhausen and Vogelsberg and the place Orlishausen of the abolished office of Buttstädt existed.

When the Courts Constitution Act came into force on October 1, 1879, the judicial office was renamed the Großrudestedt District Court and at the same time assigned to the newly established Weimar District Court . The Großrudestedter judicial district itself did not change.

After Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach was dissolved in Thuringia in 1920, the previous judicial districts were reorganized across the country on October 1, 1923. The Großrudestedt district court lost the towns of Kleinbrembach and Vogelsberg to the Buttstädt district court , but received the municipalities of Schwerborn and Udestedt from the Vieselbach district court and Werningshausen from the district of the Graefentonna district court .

On October 1, 1949, the district court of Großrudestedt , which had been subordinate to the district court of Erfurt a month before, was repealed and the communities of Alperstedt, Eckstedt, Kleinrudestedt, Mittelhausen, Nöda, Riethnordhausen, Schwansee, Schwerborn, Stotternheim and Udestedt to the district court of Erfurt , the localities of Dielsdorf , Großrudestedt, Haßleben, Kranichborn, Markvippach, Orlishausen, Schloßvippach, Sprötau, Thalborn, Vippachedelhausen and Werningshausen to the Sömmerda District Court .
