geography

Kleinbrembach is located in the eastern part of the Thuringian Basin between Ettersberg and Finne on the Scherkonde .

history

The place was first mentioned in the Breviarium Sancti Lulli , the Hersfeld list of goods from 775 to 786, as Brembach . The first owners were the Counts of Orlamünde and the Chapter of Nordhausen .

Orlamündischer, later Erfurt portion

The Orlamündische share went to the Count of Schwarzburg and from there in 1386 to the city council of Erfurt , the fiefs and interest went to the Carthusian monastery of Erfurt . In 1483 the Erfurt part of Kleinbrembach came to the "Amt Vippach", which consisted of the three exclaves Schloßvippach , Berlstedt and Kleinbrembach. Together with Erfurt it belonged to Kurmainz since 1664 , to Prussia since 1802 and to the French Principality of Erfurt since 1807 . With the Congress of Vienna , the three places of the Vippach office came to the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach , which ended their exclave status.

Nordhäuser, later Weimar part

The Nordhäuser share went to the Duchy of Saxony-Weimar . He belonged to the part of the " Vogtei Brembach ", which in 1664 came to the office Großrudestedt . From 1672 this belonged to the Duchy of Saxony-Eisenach and from 1741 to the Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach .

19th century to the present

After the Erfurt part of Kleinbrembach also came to the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach through the Congress of Vienna in 1815, both districts now belonged together to the Großrudestedt office, which was administratively part of the Weimar administrative district and legally in the Großrudestedt district court district in 1850 . In 1918 the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach became the Free State of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach , which in turn became part of the State of Thuringia on May 1, 1920 . Since 1922 Kleinbrembach belonged to the district of Weimar . During the territorial reform of 1952 in the GDR , the state of Thuringia was dissolved and the district of Weimar was split up, so that Kleinbrembach has since been part of the Sömmerda district in the Erfurt district . After the re-establishment of the Free State of Thuringia in 1990, Kleinbrembach has been part of the Sömmerda district since then . A short time later, the village joined the Buttstädt administrative community .

On January 1, 2019, the Kleinbrembach community was merged with the other communities of the Buttstädt administrative community to form the Buttstädt rural community.
