Johann Ernst Fabri
Johann Ernst Fabri (born July 16, 1755 in Oels ; † May 30, 1825 in Erlangen ) was a writer, geographer, statistician and university professor.
The son Johann Ehregott Fabris, a prorector at the Oelser Gymnasium near Breslau, became an associate professor in Jena in 1786. In Erlangen, where he published the literary newspaper for 10 years, he had been a full professor since 1794 and held lectures on geography and history without a salary. Only in 1815 was he awarded a fixed salary.
Fabri was the author of various geographic textbooks, some of which were published frequently, and several compilations.
