The Schlotheim District Court was a court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1949 and was based in Schlotheim in Thuringia .

history

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was established in Schlotheim in the Principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt , the district of which was unchanged from the district of the previous Schlotheim Judicial Commission . It was one of the 14 courts that were subordinate to the District Court of Rudolstadt .

The judicial reform that became necessary after the formation of the state of Thuringia led to the abolition of the court on October 1, 1923. It continued to be operated as a branch of the Ebeleben district court .

With effect from May 1, 1939, the Schlotheim department was granted independence as an independent court. In 1949 the Schlotheim District Court was again (and this time finally) dissolved and its district assigned to that of the Mühlhausen District Court . This was replaced in 1952 by the Mühlhausen District Court (for the Mühlhausen district ).
